OrganoClick is searching for a fiber / paper chemist that will work with the development and optimization of our new biocomposite OrganoComp which are used to replace plastic materials in various applications.

About the company

Examples of products that are marketed by OrganoClick are the water-repellent fabric treatment OrganoTex®, the flame and rot-resistant timber OrganoWood®, green biocomposites branded OrganoComp®, biobinders for nonwoven materials and BIOkleen®s cleaning and maintenance products for house and home.

OrganoClick has its head office, production facility and R&D-center located in Täby, north of Stockholm.

 

Job description  

As our fiber chemist you will be responsible for our development and optimization of new and existing biocomposite materials as well as in the development of applications and new products with our customers. You will interact internally with our R&D-group, our biocomposite production unit and our business unit Biocomposite.

The work will include development and optimization of material compositions, fiber moulding of nwe products in lab scale and upscaling pf new products to full scale production in our fiber moulding machine. You will also work with the development, design and process optimization of after treatment of the biocomposites which can include surface coatings, and/or cutting. Analytical methods include test of mechanical strength (tensile, bending stiffness, etc), flame protection tests, and hydrofobization tests. For more advanced chemical analysis we collaborate with universities and test institutes.

 

Your profile

You have probably an engineering or master degree in chemistry with special interest in macromolecular materials, fiber-, paper- or polymer chemistry. You have thereafter probably worked a number of years with development of paper products or biocomposites. Knowledge within fiber moulding, paper technology and biocomposites is a merit. Naturally, you share our values of working for a more sustainable society and create new innovations with high customer value. We also believe you are genuinely interested in green chemistry.

As a person you enjoy an environment with challenging work tasks. You like working independently but also in a team. Structured work with good documentation is part of your normal routines. You are result oriented and enjoy creating new innovations.

Start: According to agreement with the OrganoClick
Engagement: Full time employment
Place: Arninge, Täby

Salary: Fixed salary according to agreement with OrganoClick
