OrganoWood has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with Bergs Timber Bitus AB. Bergs Timber Bitus is Sweden’s largest wood treatment facility and is using a number of different wood treatment techniques.
The collaboration concerns production, sale and marketing of OrganoWood®-modified wood. Under the agreement, Bergs Timber Bitus will produce OrganoWood®-modified wood on behalf of OrganoWood but also sell and market OrganoWood®-modified wood to industrial customers. For performing the modification, Bergs Timber Bitus has set up and installed a new production line which will be used to produce the modified wood.
“We regard this collaboration as a key part of our industrial infrastructure. We are very happy to have found such a serious partner to start up our new wood modification process”, says Mårten Hellberg, CEO OrganoWood. The first modified wood to be delivered will leave the factory in the end of March.
