biocide-free wood protection with OrganoWood Nowa timber

Biocide-Free Wood Protection

Wood is an incredibly versatile building material. Strong, renewable, and often produced locally. The downside is that it is both flammable and susceptible to decay. For over 15 years, OrganoClick has developed and delivered biocide-free and environmentally certified wood protection technologies based on our OrganoClick technology. Our latest generation of wood protection is based on biobased zirconium salts that provide wood with protection against decay and termites, thus replacing traditional wood protection technologies that are based on biocides and harmful heavy metals.

Biocide-free wood protection that provides naturally beautiful timber with a long lifespan

Our patented wood protection technology offers effective protection against decay and termites. The treated timber has been tested in several standardized third-party tests, including the accelerated decay protection test EN113 conducted by the German MPA (Materialprüfanstalt) and long-term tested in the field (natural environment) in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and Malaysia by the Danish Technological Institute. Even in the highly demanding tropical environment of Malaysia, the treated timber shows good resistance to both decay and termites.

The wood retains its natural wood color and grays over time. The organic zirconium salts used in our wood protection are non-toxic and are also used in human dental implants, as they have high resistance to microbial attacks.

Finished treated timber is sold under the brand OrganoWood Nowa by OrganoWood AB, which is partly owned by OrganoClick. OrganoWood Nowa timber is available as decking, structural, and panel wood and is sold to construction companies and consumers through a large network of building suppliers and timber distributors in Sweden and throughout Europe.
