Chemist for the fast-growing greentech company OrganoClick

Are you interested in working with next generation renewable materials? Do you want to work for a more sustainable society combined with the development of a new Swedish industry? OrganoClick is looking for chemists to work with the development of our biobased and biodegradable binders and barriers that replace plastics in nonwovens, technical textiles and other types of fiber-based materials.

Job description

The work will involve extensive development of new compositions and formulations, modification of carbohydrates and proteins used in the products and work with organocatalysis used to react the biobased polymers with each other when applied to fiber-based materials. In your work, theoretical and laboratory work will thereby be alternated continuously. In your practical work, you will work mostly on a lab scale but also participate in scale-up of new binders and barriers in full production scale (ton batches) in our factory.

Profile

You have:

• studied chemistry or chemical engineering with a focus on fiber chemistry, polymer chemistry, organic chemistry or carbohydrate chemistry at university level.

• probably have a Ph.D. in a relevant topic and are used to independent research and development work.

• worked for a few years with product development in industry related to polymer chemistry, organic chemistry or fiber chemistry

Knowledge in binders, gluing processes or nonwoven manufacturing is a plus. You naturally share our values ​​of working for a more sustainable society and creating new innovations with a high customer value. We also believe that you have a genuine interest in green chemistry that drives you to take your own initiatives.

As a person, you thrive in an environment with challenging tasks. You both enjoy working independently but are also happy to collaborate in groups. You perform the work in a structured manner and you provide accurate documentation. You are driven by creating innovations, are strongly results-oriented and are open to new ideas.
