OrganoClick’s plastic-free binder for nonwoven nominated as Finalist in IDEA 2025 Achievement Award in two categories

OrganoClick’s biobased and plastic-free OC-BioBinder® has been nominated as Finalist in IDEA 2025 Award in the two categories IDEA® Raw Materials Achievement Award and IDEA® Sustainability Advancement Award. IDEA is one of the world’s largest nonwovens shows and the largest in North America.

OrganoClick's OC-BioBinder® is a series of biobased and plastic-free binders designed for the nonwoven industry. Made from renewable raw materials and residual streams from the food industry, these binders replace traditional fossil-based plastic binders, significantly reducing CO2 emissions, and adds no microplastics to the ecological cycle. OC-BioBinder® is available in various formulations tailored for home compostable nonwoven applications such as premium napkins, table cloths, wet wipes, and more.

In addition, a new application can now be added to this list of applications with the official announcement of Ahlstrom becoming nominated as Finalist in IDEA® Nonwoven Products Achievement Award with a Laundry care product containing OC-Biobinder®.

“We are happy to receive this great recognition from the IDEA show for our unique biobased and plastic-free binders. The nomination for the Raw Materials Achievement Award and the IDEA® Sustainability Advancement Award highlights the importance of fossil-free innovations in enabling the green transition in the nonwoven industry” says Mårten Hellberg, CEO OrganoClick.
