Description of the company
OrganoClick is a young listed company in strong growth. Our unique products are based on a research innovation that enables the use of environmentally friendly chemical solutions to provide new properties such as flame protection, rot protection and water resistance to materials such as wood, paper materials and textiles. With our technologies, we replace plastic materials, heavy metals and PFAS. For our green technologies, OrganoClick has been named a Climate Solver by WWF, has been listed on the global list Sustainia100 as one of the world's 100 most sustainable technology companies and has been named one of the 33 hottest technology companies by the magazines Affärsvärlden and NyTeknik. The company has had strong growth in recent years, has sales of approximately SEK 100 million and has just over 50 employees.
In recent years, OrganoClick has developed from an R&D-based company to a manufacturing innovation company. One of our products is the modified timber OrganoWood® which is sold via building supply chains such as XL-BYGG, Beijer building materials, Optimera and Bygma. The production of the wood chemistry takes place in our own factory in Arninge, while the impregnation of the wood takes place by our partner Bergs timber in Nybro.
As our wood chemist, you will work with development and optimization work of new and existing wood protection products based on the company's technology for modifying wood fibers. In addition to the company's R&D group, you will interact with the company's business team and external actors within academia and test institutes.
The work will involve optimizations of formulations which are then used to pressure impregnate or surface treat wood. This is followed by other process steps after which the properties are examined and quantified. Analytical methods used are leaching tests, flame retardancy tests, hydrophobing tests and rot and mold tests. In our modern lab of 300 m2, we have both analytical equipment, microbiological lab and a pilot machine for pressure impregnation of wood. For some more advanced chemical tests, we collaborate with universities and test institutes. As we work with wood, the work can involve certain physically demanding elements.
- A master's or doctoral degree with a focus on fiber technology / wood, polymer or surface chemistry.
- You have a few years of work experience from the development of chemical products for the wood industry.
- Knowledge in wood protection, wood glue, paint or varnish is a plus.
- Communicates fluently in both writing and speaking in both Swedish and English
You naturally share our values of working for a more sustainable society and creating new innovations with a high customer value. We also believe that you have a genuine interest in green chemistry that drives you to take your own initiatives.
As a person, you thrive in an environment with challenging tasks. You both enjoy working independently but are also happy to collaborate in groups. You perform the work in a structured manner and you keep accurate documentation. You are driven by creating innovations, are strongly results-oriented and are open to new ideas.
As part of our R&D group of about 10 people, you are given a unique chance to be involved in the company's development towards becoming a new big Swedish industrial company based on green chemistry. You will work in a dynamic and creative environment where your own ideas and initiatives are welcome.
